Most recently, Ken taught at East Middle School. He was also a veteran assistant coach to longtime Great Falls High boys basketball coach Bob Howard. His family said, "Ken was a coach and mentor to all. He was very giving of his time and had patience with everyone. He always put the needs of others before his own."
“He was a mentor for many staff and students in our district and community for approximately 40 years,” said Tom Moore, Great Falls Public Schools superintendent in a Facebook post.
He is survived by wife, Billie Jo, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.
His family said, "Our beloved Kenny will be laid to rest at the end of this week.

Ken's grandson, Jake Wetzel, said, "Our family is doing everything we can to make sure that after a lifetime of service to others, Ken will be laid to rest properly. During these trying times, we are reaching out and asking for your help to offset some of the service costs. Anything helps! Thank you in advance for your consideration."
