Make a call! Change YOUR future!

During the session, call your legislator. It’s easy& powerful!

HOW: Call the Montana legislative message center at 406-444-4800. *Leave a message for a legislator—yours!

WHAT: You will be asked for your name, address, phone number, and a brief message, one or two sentences. Check Eric’s emails or the MEA-MFT web site, www.mea-mft.org, for message points and the latest legislative information.

WHEN: With a legislative session that lasts just 90 days, bills and issues move quickly.  Check your email twice daily for legislative updates. We will let you know when we urgently need calls. We won’t have much notice, so we need you to respond quickly.

HOW: Please call your legislators from home, a cell phone during a break at work. Don’t use a work phone or e-mail address.

WHY: Legislators listen when folks call from their home districts. Phone calls are an effective, inexpensive, and easy lobbying method. Phone calls work!

Please save this information. Act when important decisions are being made that affect YOU!

THANK YOU for your good work!

*You can leave the same message for up to five legislators or all the members of a committee with one call. Specify the legislators or committee (for example, members of House Education Committee).
