Thirteen of your members spent their Saturday representing you at a special Representative Assembly on January 20, 2018. Eric Bush, Tom Cubbage, Stacey Cook Dobbyn, Jerry Ferderer, Bob Griffith, Gary Jenkins, Jolyn Johnson, Terri Jones, Pam Margaris, Alex Rosenleaf, Kari Rosenleaf, Amy Sterling and Cherie Stordahl drove or rode a yellow school bus to Helena and joined MEA-MFT and MPEA members to discuss, and then, vote on the proposed constitution which if approved would merge the two unions into one.
The body heard from President Feaver and Tom Schneider as well as Melissa Romano and Moffie Funk during the opening of the meeting. Eric Burke and Quint Nyman discussed the newly proposed constitution. After lunch was served the two delegations separated for a ratification vote. MEA-MFT members first heard from Morgan Smith, Shelli Lavinder Schwalk and Tammi Phillippi regarding how to effectively organize members. The time then came to vote on the constitution. Although the vote was not unanimous, the constitution was ratified by both delegations and a new union was formed.
